If you would like to know more, you are welcome to come along. It doesn’t matter if you have no previous experience. If you have meditated elsewhere feel free to try our approach and see if you find it helpful. There’s no charge (voluntary contributions are welcome). If you wish, bring a friend.

If you would like to come to a meeting:

  • Please contact us beforehand if possible by phone or email.
  • Get to the venue at 6.50 pm.
  • We will help you work out a comfortable sitting position using a chair, cushion or bench.
  • We will explain the background to the meditation and how to do the meditation itself.

You can then join the main meeting: this starts at 7.30 pm with an incense offering and scripture reading (in English). If you prefer not to participate, it’s OK to just sit quietly. This is followed by two 20-minute meditation periods with a short walking meditation between. Afterwards there is time to relax with a cup of tea. We usually finish by 9.20 pm.
